Penn & Teller show the audience how to do the eye-popping trick with creamer. Teller scams some free food with his magic blister removing powder. P&T perform the Room 101 Card Trick which involves bacon, rats and Teller’s head. The guys teach guest Fiona Fullerton how to do the Pasta ala Stigmata trick. Penn tells a childhood story while Teller performs the king of animal traps. They close the show by having the entire Unpleasant World of Penn & Teller show crew swear that they are not using camera tricks.
Penn juggles broken bottles after being heckled by a brit. P&T perform the sleepy card trick, guest Dawn French gets to suck out Teller’s eyeball shells. Teller does the thumb trick for Dawn and gets blood all over her. Penn and a woman flirt while fire eating to music. Teller has some fun with a rabbit and a wood chipper and they end the show by swearing on a stack of bibles that they have never and will never use any camera tricks.
Penn & Teller teach a few hundred people the disappearing hanky trick. They perform the Chinese water torture card trick with guest John Cleese and explain a card force that you can do at home (with Jon Snow). Also the magicians make bugs appear out of thin air. At the end of the show P&T swear on a king james bible, that belonged to Teller’s grandmother, that they have never and will never use any camera tricks.
Stephen Fry guest stars in the first episode of The Unpleasant World of Penn & Teller. P&T perform the Real Mans Card Trick, the hanging upside down Are We Live? trick, destroy and restore Stephen Fry’s watch and have an audience member perform a Houdini trick.

Penn & Teller’s Cruel Tricks for Dear Friends is a 1987 direct-to-video program hosted by magicians Penn & Teller. Produced by The Mofo Video Corp. and released by Lorimar Home Video, the tape features seven different swindles or tricks that the home viewer can use to fool their friends. The tape was a companion piece to their best-selling book of the same name, released two years later. All of the tricks involve using a portion of the videotape.
