"This week's Tommy Boyd Show on Play Radio goes on the attack challenging conventional broadcasting on the issue of their constraints and consequent mediocrity. Popular culture: music, film, literature and reportage move forward alongside and ahead of contemporary thinking. Not broadcasting. TV beats radio in this, and it's lamentable. What's wrong with radio? Alan Caddick's sports spots show the way, USA Joe takes the hits about his nationality, adopted home (Poland!), his slaphead and man boobs, and comes up fighting. Alyson Mead guests, the Human Zoo rules and Channel Four are in the studio filming."
