Penn talking about Teller not talking today reminded me of the 2 stupidest retarded seconds of my life.
I flew over to Vegas from the UK on UA 10 days or so after 9-11(a crazy nightmare flight in my top 5 drinking stories) and dragged everyone to the(expensive) P&T show at the Rio.
After the show we came out and I was astonished for 2 seconds to see Teller talking to folk and laughing and hanging out. I just stopped in my tracks.
Why sober would this confuse me?
Why would I think that they could create these sophisticated bits of magic and never consider it was an act that Teller was dumb?
I guess I had never thought about it.
For 2 seconds I was like a religious person, unthinking and in awe...
