NEW STUFF I HAVE! Yay - 2006/03/02 08:01 Okay, so I think I am crossing the line from being a Penn & Teller fan into being a little obsessive going after media content.. but that's okay. Here are some new things I have...

West Wing - "In The Room" featuring Penn & Teller in the White House "burning" an American Flag.

TV Guide & TV Land: 100 Most Unexpected TV Moments - Penn & Teller comment on South Park's "shit" episode, and it's importance in culture.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch - "First Kiss" featuring Penn as "Drell"

Also, I have a VHS tape of Penn & Teller Go Public on it's way that will be fresh for ripping! I haven't seen anyone seeding this anywhere before.

Re:NEW STUFF I HAVE! Yay - 2006/03/02 08:39 Cool, boss!

Any way you could throw together a torrent of each? Otherwise, I've got some webspace you can upload them to.

Re:NEW STUFF I HAVE! Yay - 2006/03/22 02:30 Okay, I received the Penn & Teller Go Public VHS.. Brand new and sealed.. never watched by anyone! Quality should be great. So, what would everyone like it uploaded as? Standard small format mpeg, or DVD-R? I see someone is selling bootleg copies of it on DVD-R, so I figured I might be able to combat that a little bit if I seed a full DVD-R of it with menus.. Anyone willing to have a 4+ gig download for this?

Also, the other videos I had were all LOST! The simply vanished from my DVR software on my computer.. Sucks big time. I have managed to acquire a Drew Carey episode and a Fear Factor episode in the time passed though, so I'll be uploading those shortly!

Anyway, give me some feedback on what you all want me to do for the P&T Go Public VHS.

Re:NEW STUFF I HAVE! Yay - 2006/03/22 11:07 Well, on the one hand, if you make a nice DVD, that will help to eliminate the bootleg seller's market, which is a good thing.
On the other, if P&T decide to ever release it on DVD, they'll have lost a significant market share, due to the prevalence of non-official copies... But I guess it's been like 10+ years, so they probably aren't going to do that.

I personally would love to see it, so I put my vote in for the nice DVD. But I'm also fine with a decent DIVX/XVID rip, too.

As for where to put it, might I suggest our BitTorrent server? I don't think we've got room anywhere for a 4GB file (or the bandwidth it will take to get it out to hundreds of people).

Re:NEW STUFF I HAVE! Yay - 2006/03/22 11:35 How does one get a file uploaded to our Bittorrent server? I'm searching around the site/forum for it, but not having any luck.

Re:NEW STUFF I HAVE! Yay - 2006/03/22 12:38 May I also suggest/request the divx or xvid (avi) format? They are good quality, not too huge, and convert nicely to other formats (VCD, SVCD, DVD, etc).

I'd almost forgotten that show... - 2006/04/18 15:50 "Go Public" is worth watching as it has:

casey at the bat
stabbing the card
teller "smoking"
stealing from a supermarket
fire eating (and a sword swallowing interview)
DIY video card trick
plus the same "no camera tricks" disclaimer they use in the "unpleasant world" series

It must have been made twenty years ago - Oh God that makes me feel old...
