Goudeau's Wikipedia entry deleted - 2007/04/18 14:05 What
The
Fuck?

I go away for a few days, leave you kids in charge of the place and suddenly - no Goudeau...

I'm a little jet-lagged, can anyone explain what happened?

Re:Goudeau's Wikipedia entry deleted - 2007/04/18 19:21 The Bio critera:

Entertainers: actors, comedians, opinion makers, and television personalities

* With significant roles in notable films, television, stage performances, and other productions.
* Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following.
* Has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment.

Significant roles: Check.

Cult following: Check.

Contributions to the field of entertainment: Juggler.

Hmmm. That last one is a little weak.

Re:Goudeau's Wikipedia entry deleted - 2007/04/18 22:16 I know, I really want to protest the whole relevancy rule on wikipedia for a while now.

Not just because the people(moderators) can do bery biased decisions on what they let in there. And second of all is that everyone one should be able to post an article about anything, it doesn't matter if an article about you is incorrect or imparcial, it will be corrected as soon as you start to matter to more and more people, doesn't mean that I shouldn't be able to look up my school because it is too small or Goudeau because he is not as big as Penn.

Re:Goudeau's Wikipedia entry deleted - 2007/04/19 00:32 Official Goudeau Response:

I think it's fun that it's there. I hope Karl gets it back up.I think I'm fine with my pals bombarding wikipedia. That seems funny to me. I don't have time to think about it. My kids are here and my daughter slammed her fingers in the door.

Re:Goudeau's Wikipedia entry deleted - 2007/04/19 05:20 It seems one of the strengths of wiki is that more obscure people can actually get entered. A paper encyclopedia has to make these cuts. Wiki doesn't. It's Everything2 all over again. "Gods" looking to exercise power.

Re:Goudeau's Wikipedia entry deleted - 2007/04/19 14:12 The Word according to Goudeau:

Wow. You guys are serious. The wikipedia listing is back up already. Thank you. I'm humbled and honored by the idea that anyone would bother. Really. Thank you guys. On a slightly related note, my daughter's fingers are fine now.. just slightly purple under a couple of nails.

Re:Goudeau's Wikipedia entry deleted - 2007/04/19 19:54 In another slightly related Goudeaunote:

I'll be in Paris from April 23-26 taping "Le Plus Grand Cabare Du Monde". My French isn't great but I think that translates to "The Big Laughing Turtle of the World". Either that or "The Devil's Fork".

Let the Great Goudeau (praise be his name) know it's the least we can do for hours of free laughs he's given us.
