Question about "Cruel Tricks for Dear Friends" - 2007/04/06 23:25
I really hate to be a bother, but I thought that a site for fans of Penn Jillette would have information about his book from the 80s, "Cruel Tricks for Dear Friends". From the few pages available for a free view on Amazon, it mentions the Electronic Card Trick where you dial a phone number and enter a number of cards counted off. Another page mentions that the instructions for that trick, which were printed in red, were a lie, and are cut off before you can see the actual instructions for pulling off the trick. Does anyone who has this book know how it was supposed to be done, or if the phone number was really used? Thanks.
