Re:Can we get a live update on the show today - 2007/03/02 15:57 How ironic that Goudeau's voice goes out on the last show...

Man. It's been a crazy 14 months, but I guess it had to end sometime. Though I was hoping for another year at least.

Re:Can we get a live update on the show today - 2007/03/02 16:04 Whoa, it ended with Penn saying a bunch of really nice things about Teller. Isn't that a sign of the apocalypse, or something? (So glad I'm an atheist).

So yeah ... great show, very fun to listen to. Lots of little hints that they'll be back at some point. We had fun ragging on/praising Penn in the chat room.

What a ride.

Re:Can we get a live update on the show today - 2007/03/02 16:11 It's weird how it seems like this happened all of the sudden. Penn just started a new "weekday theme" with Pull of the Weasel, so it seems like this wasn't a planned thing.

Seems like he just sat down one day this week and said, "Fuck it. Family first."

But who knows how it really went down.

Re:Can we get a live update on the show today - 2007/03/02 16:26 For two months Penn Jillete was the hardest working man in show business. Maybe he still is.

Re:Can we get a live update on the show today - 2007/03/02 22:51 Hi Everyone, I thought I'd drop in because a lot of people are asking why the show ended . I also want to clarify a few things because some people are saying things from what they've heard and it has been taken out of context.

Mike, what you are saying is not true at all. Penn was VERY happy with the show. And, he did not stop because it was too much for him.

While doing a radio show in the morning
and a live show at night makes for a very long day that is not why
the show ended. Penn and CBS would have been very
happy for the show to continue had the one hour format proven to have
been easier to program in to more markets. There have been no
negotiations for the show to continue in a different format on CBS or
elsewhere. Penn does look forward to returning to the radio someday
with Goudeau and the rest of the PennRadio team.

Penn mentioning her by name on today's show and clairfying her role as the sole conduit to the immaculate godhead of Penn and Teller might just do the trick.

Re:Can we get a live update on the show today - 2007/03/02 23:44 Hi, Thanks unigolyn and Stratego.

My fault, I should have introduced myself. Should have said " Mofobabe...AKA Audrey..webmaster for Pennandteller.com.

If you want Penn's word for it, when he was leaving myspace he posted a blog or two telling people that he was leaving but could get info through me.
