Bullshit ep guide - 2006/03/01 14:35 I'm working on a Bullshit! episode guide for this site with streaming preview videos and links to the experts/quacks etc.. Does anyone want to help out by writing a description (or review) of any of the BS episodes? You don't have to write a lot, here's what I wrote for the first ep..
In the premier episode of Bullshit! Penn and Teller examine "psychic mediums" and their ability to speak with the dead. The skeptics explain how mediums use cold reading and hot reading to appear to have supernatural powers.

Here we go - please edit as appropriate, change anything that sounds too British and maybe even add a few more links... go nuts!

1. P.E.T.A.
The first episode of the second season of ?Bullshit!? focuses on ? People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals? and their extreme views on animal rights.
2. Safety Hysteria
Gas masks and paper toilet seat covers ? what won?t con artists try to sell you using fear? P&T investigate people who prey on concerns over terrorism, crime and even mobile phone radiation.
3. The Business Of Love
Penn and Teller look at romantic love and ways to exploit this transient feeling. In this episode they also explore ?The Myth of Monogamy?
4. War On Drugs
What if all drugs were legal? Would the entire country go crazy in an orgy of overdosing or would things actually get better? Also Medicinal Marijuana.
5. Recycling
Recycling isn?t controversial, right? You?re saving the planet, right? You?re cutting pollution, right? Right? Wrong?
6. The Bible
Is the bible a true historical record? Penn and Teller invite you to actually read the bible and see how much sense it makes.
7. New Age
Yoga, Tarot and Tantric Sex ? P&T look to Arizona and the New Age pursuit of a higher consciousness. Funny how it always costs you money?
8. Fountain of Youth
Turning back the clock. Recapturing your youth. The guys from Sin City look at creams, diets, Botox and other bullshit that will keep you looking young.
9. Death, Inc.
If you?ve just lost a loved one you?re going to feeling pretty vulnerable. It?s probably not the best time to do business. ?Bullshit!? looks at the people who make a killing out of death?
10. Profanity (This episode renamed as Humbug!)
People who wish to rid the world of words such as ?Tits?, ?Shit?, ?Fuck? and ?Cunt? including some who are willing to use blasphemy just as long as it's not their god. (You just knew we were going to have to use those words, didn?t you?)
11. 12-Stepping
Are we able to ?cure? addictions using a twelve-step program or should you really seek professional medical help? Is alcoholism a disease?
12. Exercise vs. Genetics
Will special drinks or fancy equipment actually give you the body you desire? Why is joining a gym such a bad idea?
13. Hypnosis
In the final ?Bullshit!? the magicians explain why hypnosis may help you to relax or focus your attention, but it?s never going to recover suppressed memories or make certain body parts bigger?
there is no possible use for a signature* except to demonstrate how funny/geeky/cynical/pathetic you are.

*including this one
