It was another MONKEY TUESDAY!!!

'nuff said.

Ok, fine, I'll say one more thing. Somebody added lyrics to the Monkey Tuesday theme. I thought it was a funny novelty, others hated it. If anyone has a link to the lyrical song, go ahead and post it.

awww! lol don't say that. it's not horrible. it's quite funny. personally i prefer the instrumental, but i wouldn't be upset if the lyrical one was played from now on. although, i do tend to be a creature of habit, so... that may be why i prefer one over the other.

i wish someone would post the lyrics. i have the urge to sing along.

Re:Penn.Jillette.Radio.Show.2006.10.03 - 2006/10/03 23:57 If Les Claypool and System of a Down collaborated, the result would be the MT song with lyrical happiness.

Re:Penn.Jillette.Radio.Show.2006.10.03 - 2006/10/05 10:56 I AM the lyricist!
I prefer the theme without lyrics too.
I didn't use caps so that it remains ambiguous whether mike means microphone or Michael Goudou.

Monkey Tuesday Theme Lyrics
by David Oakey

monkeys on the air 5
monkey with the mike 5
screeching scratching biting 6
that we like 3

don't say chimpanzee 5
nor orangutan 5
all we say is monkey 6
bang bang bang 3

monkeys in the air 5
monkeys on the roof 5
tearing off the landau 6
wif their toof 3

now they have the pots 5
now they have the pans 5
let's go ape together 6
bang clang cans! 3

Re:Penn.Jillette.Radio.Show.2006.10.03 - 2006/10/05 21:14 Help I just got bad karma for saying I didn't like it...

Who knew the guy came here?

I blame the singer.Ha!

I hope you're happy if I fall down a manhole tomorrow.

And that's not even my kink...

manholes? kinks? lol... i think we found a replacement theme for monkey tuesday. perhaps "tawdry tuesday" or "turned-on tuesday."

Re:Penn.Jillette.Radio.Show.2006.10.03 - 2006/10/07 10:05 I added the lyrics to the monkey tuesday wiki entry

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey_Tuesday

Anyone know if I got the singer's name right?

(I liked the lyrics... given the tempo, man, that's a chore writing lyrics that fit and make sense... the guy did a good job working in ideas and concepts expressed in previous Monkey Tuesdays. I sure wouldn't mind hearing it as the opening theme.)
