No Atheism area? - 2007/02/20 23:02 We have a skeptic area, but no atheist area? There are times that I'd like to say stuff and get off on an atheist tangent, but it just seems like it might be spam in the topic; I'd hate to do that. Can we get an atheist section?

Re:No Atheism area? - 2007/02/21 12:22 Atheism is not a philosophy. It is PART of many different philosophies. Religion is a philosophy as well, but a closed philosophy.

I think an atheism forum would be fine. It would create many different discussions on the different philosophies connected with atheism. At least we would all be sharing the same though about god!

I was SORTA joking about the Objectivist subforum. SORTA.

Re:No Atheism area? - 2007/02/21 12:32 Perhaps. But I don't want to assume that there are no Christians or other believers here. I myself don't dismiss all spirituality out of hand - although I'm guessing I'm in the minority.

But I suppose it doesn't matter what the forum's called, it can still be open to all sorts of related discussions.

Give a man religion and he'll try to get you to join him so he can share your fish.
If you refuse he'll call you an unbeliever, kill you and celebrate doing god's work by eating your fish. there is no possible use for a signature* except to demonstrate how funny/geeky/cynical/pathetic you are.
