I need an artist/animator - 2007/03/25 19:01 I have a very ambitious project I would like to attempt. I want to make a series of flash cartoons that tell the story of "Joe's Garage", the album by Frank Zappa. If anyone is interested, contact me at

I think some of the songs will be very difficult to do because they have long guitar parts. I could edit the song down to fit our purposes, I suppose, but it seems wrong. But the really long songs don't start until the second disc and by then he keeps crawling into his own imagination. We could get away with the long parts if we went that route. I think it's at least a good concept. It'd be difficult to pull off, but I think it'd be a great series.

Re:I need an artist/animator - 2007/03/25 23:58 Thanks. I think the script pretty much writes itself. The booklet that came with the CD has a lot of the story in it already. You would just have to organize everything. The biggest hurdle would definitely be the art. Designing all the characters and settings. This is a very ambitious project. Going through the first album would probably be the easiest since those are pretty short songs. At least all of the sound is there and most of the story, too. Easy as shit on my part. I don't really need just one artist, either. I would welcome a team so that each one has its own feel.
