OK, first you need to make a torrent file. This is sort of like a shortcut that other Bittorrent clients will understand, so they can download the file from you. After that, you'll need to start running the torrent file, also known as "seeding". Both of these can be accomplished using the program uTorrent. The nice thing about uTorrent is that it is small and won't hog any of your RAM. http://www.utorrent.com is the site, and http://download.utorrent.com/1.6/utorrent.exe is the version of the program you want.
OK, before you start, make sure you have all of the files you want to share in one folder (and only those files), and make sure they are all named correctly. Once you make the torrent file, you can't change anything about them.
Step 1: Create the torrent file. After launching uTorrent, press Ctrl+N (or select File>Create New Torrent in the menu). In "Select Source", click the "Add directory" button, and find your folder of files. Under Torrent Properties, copy and paste these three trackers. They are public and don't require any registration. Also, put one per line in that box: http://tpb.tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce http://tracker.phogotorrents.com:2006/announce http://tracker.prq.to/announce
In the comment box, you can put whatever you like. Maybe "Sin City Spectacular with Penn & Teller", or something similar. I leave the "Piece size" to auto detect. In "Other", you can click "Start seeding", and make sure you UN-click "Private Tracker".
Then click "Create and Save As...". uTorrent will take a minute and create a new ".torrent" file. You should name it something unique (Sin City Spectacular.torrent) and save it on your harddrive.
Phew, the hard part is over!
You should now notice that your torrent is in a list all by itself, and should show that it is seeding. (That was going to be my Step 2, but it's done for you) You won't have anyone connected to you, though, because we'll need that .torrent file.
So Step 3 is "Send us the torrent file". The easiest way should be to just include it in a post, could even be in reply to my post. Just look at the last option in the posting box: "Select file to attach". That's where you want to browse to it on your harddrive and select the small .torrent file. Once you upload it, we'll be able to grab the file, and then the folder of SCS.
Please let me know if you have any problems with any of the instructions I've given. I'll be happy to help, and I can't wait to see those episodes!
