WTF is happening? - 2007/04/13 01:15 I can't understand whats been happening lately. I used to get a chuckle out of Penn when he would say that he cried at every movie he saw, how ridiculous, I would think, but funny tho. Now I've noticed lately, I'm starting to get choked up, almost to the point of tears, literally at movies. I'm kinda freaked out by the whole thing, and I can't put my finger on what the trigger of it is. Did Penn hypnotize me? Is this one of the stages of depression from the show ending, manifesting in this goofy way? This happen to anyone else, or am I <gulp> alone here?

Re:WTF is happening? - 2007/04/13 01:30 I almost never cry, a fact I am not proud of I wish I cried more but at most I tear up a little.

Re:WTF is happening? - 2007/04/13 13:33 IT'S BEEN HAPPENING TO ME TOO!!!

as a child, i used to cry all the time, then once i grew up i put that all behind me and put up a tough guy persona and never cried, and prided myself on being a manly man. but i guess hearing from penn that he cries at bruce willis movies, and hearing that from him told me that it is ok to cry. while i haven't cried in a movie yet, i have definitely gotten choked up at certain parts that only a menopausal woman would cry at.

Re:WTF is happening? - 2007/04/13 13:44 I only get choked up if I can relate to or respect the character(s). 300 choked me up, so did Firefly.

Re:WTF is happening? - 2007/04/13 14:56 Crying is a weird thing.

This music video makes me cry: http://www.keithschofield.com/et/ -- it depicts something I've thought about ever since childhood.

Apparently estrogen levels rise in men as they get older... making them more sensitive.

Re:WTF is happening? - 2007/04/13 17:59 Aw crap, I am getting old, but this sucks, it's not just stuff designed to tearjerk, I'm talking even stupid animated stuff. So, I guess this means I get to look forward to even higher levels and actual outbursts (I'm soooo still holding Penn responsible, pseudo-science will back me up one day)

Re:WTF is happening? - 2007/04/13 18:07 I would never cry... and then I heard "cat's in the cradle" by Harry Chapin... geez, I just end up bawling every time.
