Did you think Goudea was Lance Burton too? - 2007/03/09 21:12 On the last show a listener called for clarification. He wanted to know if Goudeau (praise be His name) was really Lance Burton (peace be upon the respectful boss of our Leader). I too, when I started listening, thought this. For a while they'd wish their respective work partners good morning. Goudeau (there is only one True Podcast and Goudeau is its sidekick)would say "good morning Teller" and Penn would say "good morning Lance".

As Penn commented sometimes people think his name is Teller. So if you don't fully understand the P&T hagiography and you're not listening close and you're quite new to the show, you think Goudeau (may we once again hear His voice from the heavens in the form of a Sirius radio show) is Lance.

It takes a while to sort out who Penn, Teller, Lance, and Goudeau (may the first donut choice always be His) are. For me it took a couple months. For others, I guess they didn't get it until the end of the show's run.

Re:Did you think Goudea was Lance Burton too? - 2007/03/09 23:16 When I first started listening I assumed Goudeau was Teller for two reasons.
1. I guess just assumed they did everything together.
2. They would talk about Bullshit as "our" show.

Re:Did you think Goudea was Lance Burton too? - 2007/03/10 01:38 Goudeau deserves every extra vowel in his name.

In fact, I'd say he deserves an extra silent X.

Re:Did you think Goudea was Lance Burton too? - 2007/03/10 06:17 Actually I never though of it so, I think the first one I got it Penn just called him Goudeau and thus I was never confused at all.

Re:Did you think Goudea was Lance Burton too? - 2007/03/10 14:08 i never thought goudeau was lance or teller. at first i had no idea who goudeau was though so i just started looking him up and after i established who he was, it made sence that he would be on it with penn.

Re:Did you think Goudea was Lance Burton too? - 2007/03/10 16:51 ^what freakaz0id said goes for me as well. No offense, but when I heard the caller, I thought to myself, "Why would they lie about that? The thought never crossed my mind." Also, the way that "Goudeau" flowed so easily from Penn's mouth, you would think if he was lying, he would've slipped up at one point.

Re:Did you think Goudea was Lance Burton too? - 2007/03/11 05:51 I too was never confused.

When I first heard Penn say his name it sounded familiar. I soon realized that the day before, I had read his name in one of Penn's Road Penn journal entries on pennandteller.com
