BS ep you had the hardest time with? - 2006/08/07 10:24 A couple of the BS episodes I found challenging to my own beliefs. I found the circumcision one rather difficult, mostly I suppose because it was full of crying babies. And since I am circumcised and I'm not sure I'd want the bother of having to clean down there (I find shaving every day pain enough) I had a hard time agreeing.

And then the whole recycling thing is one of those "Nooooooo I want to think I'm doing some good!" issues I'd rather stick my head in the sand about.

All 'n' all BS is usually spot on.

(And while there wasn't a BS ep about it, I don't think I can agree with Penn regarding getting rid of the FDA. Seems to me if we got rid of it, a lot of people would die and we'd reinvent it asap. I mean maybe a non government run FDA-type org that merely recommends might be a solution... but all 'n' all an FDA sure does seem to do more good than bad.)

Re:BS ep you had the hardest time with? - 2006/08/07 14:07 I have trouble with Penn's episodes on love/sex/relationships. I am monogamous and have no desire to have a relationship with anyone other than my significant other... But he makes some good points in these episodes and it makes me question why I have such an emotional reaction to polyamory.

I also have a problem with him acting like a moral relativist sometimes, and a moral absolutist other times. He makes moral judgements constantly, and seems like a moral absolutist to me. However, I have heard him talk about morality being subjective, and I just can not agree with that.

You might be the first guy I've ever heard saying he doesn't like playing with his penis. As an uncircumsized dude, I gotta say there's absolutely not extra work involved with it. When you're in the shower, give it a quick rub, and you're all done (though I always give it a thorough cleaning).

Re:BS ep you had the hardest time with? - 2006/08/08 11:40 cirumcision.

There's certain things about our culture that, at least to me, aren't worth arguing about... eg, I don't understand why you'd want to be a nudist, even though I agree that there's not any great reason to wear clothes when the climate doesn't demand it. I'm willing to give in to that little bit of irrationality so that I can live peaceably with everybody else.

Same deal with circumcision. Probably no good reason to do it, but if it means not freaking out my son's first girlfriend, I'm all for it.

Re:BS ep you had the hardest time with? - 2006/08/08 12:02 I'm uncircumsized and haven't had any problems with cleaning or "freaking out" my girlfriends..

BS ep that I had the hardest time with?
Hair. I have long brown hair and I'd like to think that it makes me better than bald people.

Re:BS ep you had the hardest time with? - 2006/08/08 12:59 Speaking from a woman's perspective and having had the experience of both circ'd and uncirc'd sex. I would have to say that the uncircumsized penis is far more enjoyable...ie, longer erection and larger end result.

My husband is not circumsized and neither is my son. I hope there will be more uncircumsized boys so that my son won't feel silly in physical education class.(the showers) I always hated that class for just that reason.
